One of the many advantages to traveling across the country for live wedding paintings is the opportunity to see some of our country’s most beautiful wedding venues.  The Henry Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, Florida is at the top of our list of favorite venues in the country!  When our bride Lara reached out, we were just so thrilled to hear she had chosen this breathtaking historic venue to be the backdrop for their reception. The Pavillion’s architecture has this Old World charm creates the most romantic setting.  Ornate architecture also happens to be one of Ben’s favorite backdrops for live paintings as it’s not only challenging, but also feels as if you’re documenting a portion of history.   Lara requested Ben to capture a very unique moment, and this moment was a first for Ben!  She explained to us that there would be a special waltz, choreographed with her family, that would be shared following the toasts.  This waltz was inspired by Lara’s namesake from the 1960s film Dr. Zhivago.  There is an iconic waltz moment at the end of the film and Lara’s parents loved the idea of incorporating this dance into their wedding day!  Needless to say, we loved hearing the sweet backstory and Ben was thrilled to capture this unique moment in their live painting.  This waltz, together with their moment, was absolute perfection and a true Hollywood moment.  Lara’s organza ball gown was unforgettable as they twirled, dipped, and waltzed during their gorgeous wedding reception.  Ben was also inspired by Lara + Louis’ floral design that gave such a soft romantic touch to the setting.  Lauren of Lauren Daversa Events coordinated the day beautifully for this amazing couple.  We considered it such an honor to be part of this amazing couple’s wedding day and are just thrilled to share their finished live wedding painting!
